Legacy Traditional School Brings New Teaching Jobs to North Las Vegas and Henderson

Three Nevada Job Fairs to Be Held in April

LAS VEGAS (April 5, 2017) – Legacy Traditional School is hiring teachers for the 2017-18 school year. Legacy, the highest academically ranked K-8 public schools in Arizona and one of the largest charter school networks in the region with over 15,000 enrolled students is building a new charter school in North Las Vegas for the 2017-18 school year in addition to a second new charter school in Henderson for the 2018-19 school year.

To combat the shortage of teachers in Nevada, the school is offering an appealing benefits package for educators. In addition to the traditional benefits such as a competitive salary and generous retirement plan, Legacy Traditional School teachers will enjoy tuition reimbursement and student loan forgiveness options, on-site child care for staff, free lunch, employer-sponsored training in Spalding Language Arts and Saxon Math, a personalized Instruction Coach, classroom Para Professionals, and opportunities for advancement.

Salaries for teachers are within the $47,000 – $56,000 range, and provided with additional earning opportunities. Legacy offers Teachers a comprehensive benefit package in addition to their base salary. Teachers who are currently enrolled in the Public Employees’ Retirement System of Nevada (PERS), will be able to remain in the program within the charter school’s system. The new charter school will also award $500 as part of a referral program for highly qualified teachers, and is also currently offering a $2,500 sign-on bonus for all certified Teaching Staff.

“The key to providing an unparalleled, five star rated education for our students is a strong faculty of passionate and talented teachers,” said Aaron Hale, executive director and co-founder of Legacy Traditional Schools. “We’re looking forward to contributing to the North Las Vegas community as a premier place to get an education, but also a premier place to work.”

Legacy Traditional School will hold three Nevada job fairs in the month of April, where teachers will have a chance to meet the principal and learn more about the new charter school and the available opportunities. Interviews and screenings will also be held on-site.
